Ms. Frizzle's Magic School Bus goes to the Library

Happy Halloween 2007!! Mom had the brillant idea of being Ms. Frizzle, not the science teacher, the Library Science teacher. Not going into the earth, or the human body, but into the world of books and libraries!! Earrings have small book photos, dress has book prints glued on and shoes have small books tied to them--just like Ms. Frizzle on her adventures. As usual, I couldn't have done it without Dad---I had the idea, got the photos ready and he produced them and spray mounted them on me. What a team! It would have been better if I had a red frizzy wig. It was a fun day at school.

The Happy Couple

Here they are only minutes later---no longer just girlfriend and boyfriend, but now a committed couple with a whole life ahead of them--together for always. Good luck Dan and Caitlin. We are so happy for you.

The Question

The famous luminarias that formed that important question--or was it a statement? Dan is forever indebted to Rachel and Emma for getting these set up that night--on cue.

The Engagement

How could we not have posted these before??? The fateful day--August 26, 2007. It will live forever in history.

At last, photos of our Yosemite trip.

Here are four shots of our trip in September 2007 for Dad's birthday. Enjoy!

At the Top!

We made it! 10,850 ft. And what a view. The sun was warm, but the wind was chilly. There were a few others up there and one offered to take our picture.

Above May Lake

A little blue jewel at 9000 feet.

Man of the Mountains

On Saturday we hiked to the top of Mt. Hoffman, 10,650ft. Along the way there were breathtaking vistas, including two other peaks we climbed together years ago--Cloud's Rest on the left and Half Dome on the right. Dad was in his element!

Dad's 61st Birthday in Yosemite

As the sun went down on a perfect autumn day, Dad enjoyed a hot meal of Pasta Primavera in his camp cup while sitting in his favorite backpacking chair (weighs under 1#!). His smile says it all--a perfect way to spend his birthday.
